How MyNutriCare courses work
From choosing a course to downloading your certificate, here is what to expect at each step.
- 1
Choose a course
Pick a topic and level. The course page shows the modules, the tools you get, who the course suits and what to check with a health professional first.
- 2
Learn in short lessons
Each module has a few short lessons with examples and a quick question. Your place is saved, so you can stop and carry on later.
- 3
Use the tools
Lessons link to trackers, planners and checklists. Your entries save to your account, build into charts and download as PDFs.
- 4
Pass the final check
Answer at least 7 of the 10 final questions correctly to download your certificate. You can retake the check if you need to.
Before you buy
Every course page tells you what you are paying for:
- the full module outline and the tools included;
- who the course is for and how long it takes;
- what to check first, for example if you are pregnant, take medicines or have a health condition;
- the price in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Any sales tax that applies in your province or territory (GST, HST or PST) is shown at checkout before you pay. Not sure which level to pick? See how the levels work.
Buying and starting
You pay once per course at checkout. Your course opens straight away, the link appears in your account and your order confirmation email is your record of the purchase. Keep it, because it includes your order number.
Our refund policy lets you have a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have completed less than 20% of the course and no certificate has been issued. This promise is in addition to any rights you have under your province's or territory's consumer protection law.
Inside a lesson
- Short reading: a few minutes of plain-English text with clear headings.
- Examples: everyday Canadian situations that show how the advice works in real life, from the grocery store to the school lunch.
- Try it now: a prompt that opens the right tool, such as a meal planner or a checklist.
- Quick question: one or two questions to check you have understood the key point.
- When to get help: on sensitive topics, signs that mean you should speak to your family doctor or nurse practitioner, midwife or public health nurse, or call your provincial or territorial health line (811 in most provinces).
Your tools and My Progress
Everything you enter in a tool saves to your account. Your My Progress page brings it together:
- progress for each course and your final check result;
- charts built from your tracker entries;
- your saved planners, checklists and templates, ready to download as PDFs;
- your certificates.
Tracker and tool entries can include information about your health, which Canadian privacy law treats as sensitive, so we ask for your express consent before saving them. You can export or delete your tool data from My Progress at any time. See our privacy policy.
The final check and your certificate
Each course ends with a final check of 10 multiple-choice questions. Answer at least 7 correctly and you can download a certificate of completion as a PDF. It shows your name, the course title, the modules covered, the date and a verification ID that anyone can check on our site.
Phones, tablets and computers
Courses run in your web browser on phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers, with no app to install. Use an up-to-date version of Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox and an internet connection. Sign in on any device and you will pick up where you left off.

Questions people ask
How long does a course take?
Foundation courses take about 1 hour, Focused courses about 2 hours and Premium courses about 4 to 5 hours. You can spread this over as many days as you like.
What happens if I fail the final check?
You can review the lessons and take the final check again. Your certificate is issued when you reach at least 7 out of 10.
Can I print the tools?
Yes. Planners, checklists, templates and cards download as PDFs that you can print for the fridge or keep on your phone.
Do the courses cover my province?
The lessons follow national Canadian guidance, which applies everywhere in Canada. Where services differ, such as health lines, prenatal and parenting programs or caregiver supports, the lesson explains what to look for and points you to your provincial or territorial service.
