Leaking when you sneeze, rushing to the toilet, or getting up at night to wee are common around menopause, as falling oestrogen and age change the muscles and tissues that support your bladder. Common does not mean you have to put up with it.
This course shows you how to find and train your pelvic floor using the widely taught method of slow and quick squeezes, keep a bladder diary your GP will find useful, and build everyday habits around drinks, bowels, lifting and sudden urges. You will also learn the signs of prolapse, how pelvic health physiotherapy and continence services work in Australia, and which treatment options you can ask your GP about.
It is for women in perimenopause, menopause and beyond who want a practical, private way to start. A 12-week exercise plan, exercise cards, a practice log, a bladder diary and a when-to-get-help checker turn each lesson into action.

No. Pelvic floor muscles can be trained at any age, and health professionals recommend these exercises for women at every life stage. Many women in their 50s, 60s and older notice a difference after a few months of regular practice.
Everyone is different. Health professionals advise keeping going for at least 3 months before judging how well exercises are working, and to carry on afterwards to keep the benefit. This course gives you a 12-week plan and a practice log so you can see your progress.
No. It is general education about pelvic floor exercises and everyday bladder habits, based on widely used Australian health advice. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. If symptoms bother you, your GP can assess you and refer you to pelvic health physiotherapy or a continence service.
Yes, for private physiotherapy. In Australia you do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist privately, and many have a special interest in pelvic health. Public hospital clinics usually need a GP referral. The National Continence Helpline, run by the Continence Foundation of Australia, can also give free advice.
