Feeling anxious, tearful, flat or short-tempered and not sure why? Mood changes are one of the most common symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, yet many women do not connect the dots, or feel they should just put up with it.
This course explains in plain English how hormone changes, poor sleep and midlife pressures can affect your mood. You will track your mood for four weeks, practise simple calming skills, and build everyday habits for sleep, activity, food and connection, all based on NHS guidance. You will also prepare for a useful GP appointment, learn the kinds of options NICE guidance describes, and find out how to reach NHS Talking Therapies.
It is for women going through perimenopause or menopause, and for anyone supporting them. It is education, not therapy, and it does not replace your GP. Every module tells you clearly when to get help, and who to call.
Understand the stages of menopause, why hormone changes can affect mood and anxiety, and how to tell everyday mood changes from something that needs more support.

It is not always easy to tell, and mood changes often have more than one cause. The course helps you track your mood alongside your periods, sleep and other symptoms, so you can take a clear picture to your GP, who can talk it through with you.
Yes. The information about menopause, mood and everyday habits applies across the UK. Where services differ, such as NHS 111, talking therapies and helplines, the course gives the details for each nation.
