Questions about our courses
Quick answers about buying, access, certificates, refunds and your data. Can't find what you need? Email support@mynutricare.co.uk.
Buying and access
How do I pay?
You pay once per course at checkout, in euro. Prices include VAT, and the total is shown before you pay. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
How long do I have access to a course?
Your access has no time limit. You can go back to the lessons and tools whenever you like. If we ever had to withdraw a course, we would email you first and give you time to download your saved tools and certificate.
Which devices can I use?
Any phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer with an up-to-date web browser such as Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. There is no app to install. Sign in on any device and you will pick up where you left off.
Can I share my course with someone else?
No. Each purchase is for one person's use with their own account. You are welcome to print tools for your own household, such as a family meal planner.
Which country edition should I use?
Use the edition for the country where you live. The Ireland edition is written for the Republic of Ireland: it follows the Food Pyramid, HSE advice and Irish consumer law, and is priced in euro. If you live in Northern Ireland, health services and guidance differ, so choose the edition for where you live. You can switch edition with the country selector at the top of the page, but courses bought in one edition open in that edition only.
Certificates
How do I get a certificate?
Finish the lessons and answer at least 7 of the 10 final questions correctly. You can then download your certificate as a PDF from the course or from My Progress.
What if I do not pass the final check?
Go back over the lessons and try again. Your certificate is issued as soon as you score 7 or more out of 10.
Is the certificate a professional qualification?
No. It shows that you completed a general education course. Each certificate has a verification ID that anyone can check on our site, but it does not qualify you to give nutrition or health advice.
Refunds and your consumer rights
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You can have a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have completed less than 20% of the course and no certificate has been issued. Email support@mynutricare.co.uk with your order number. Read the full refund policy.
Why do you ask me to give up my 14-day right to cancel?
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 you have 14 days to cancel most online purchases, but for digital content that right ends once access starts, if you gave your express consent and acknowledged this at checkout. We ask so that your course can open straight away. Our refund policy still offers a full refund within 14 days if you have completed less than 20% of the course and no certificate has been issued.
What if a course is faulty or not as described?
Tell us and we will fix it. If we cannot do that within a reasonable time, you can have a price reduction or a refund. This applies at any time, not only in the first 14 days. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) explains your rights as a consumer in Ireland.
Your data and privacy
What happens to the information I enter in trackers?
Tracker and tool entries can include information about your health, such as weight, symptoms, sleep or pregnancy, so under the GDPR we treat them as special category data. We only save them with your explicit consent, use them only to show you your tools, charts and PDFs, and never sell them or use them for advertising.
Can I download or delete my data?
Yes. On your My Progress page you can export your data or delete your saved tool entries and course progress at any time. To close your account completely, email support@mynutricare.co.uk. Our privacy policy explains what we keep and for how long.
Who can I complain to about my data?
Please contact us first and we will try to put things right. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, which enforces the GDPR in Ireland.
Safety and content
Are the courses medical advice?
No. They are general education about healthy habits, based on Irish public health guidance. They do not diagnose or treat any condition. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or take medicines, speak to your GP, midwife, pharmacist or another health professional before making changes.
Who writes the courses?
Dr Aqsa Mukhtiar, PhD in Nutrition, writes the courses and reviews the nutrition content. Courses on topics outside her specialist area, such as HRT, mood or sleep problems, are written as general education from HSE information and tell you when to see a qualified professional.
Do the courses use Irish numbers and terms?
Yes. The Ireland edition uses Food Pyramid servings, standard drinks of 10g of alcohol, metric units, the vitamin D advice from Halloween to St Patrick's Day, and Irish services such as your GP, public health nurse and HSE Live.
Can I take a course if I am under 18?
No. Our courses and accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. Many courses are written for parents and carers of babies and children.
