The first trimester of pregnancy can turn your relationship with food upside down. Nausea, strong smells, food aversions and tiredness can make normal healthy eating feel impossible. This course shows you what really matters right now, based on US guidance from the CDC, ACOG and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and how to eat and drink well enough on the hard days.
You will learn practical ways to manage nausea through small, plain meals, how to swap foods you have gone off for others that do the same job, how to keep fluids down, and how your prenatal vitamin and a short list of food safety rules fit in. You will also learn the warning signs of severe vomiting and other early pregnancy symptoms that need urgent help.
The course is for anyone in early pregnancy, or planning a pregnancy, and for partners who want to help. It includes a nausea-friendly foods list, a symptom and food diary, a small meals planner, a hydration tracker, a when-to-call checker and a first prenatal visit prep sheet.
Why eating can feel so different in early pregnancy, why you do not need to eat for two, and the small number of things that matter most right now.
