About MyNutriCare
We make short, practical courses on everyday nutrition and wellbeing, with the tools built in so you can use what you learn the same day.
What we do
Good food and health advice is easy to find but hard to put into practice. MyNutriCare turns trusted New Zealand guidance into short lessons and pairs each one with a tool: a tracker, a meal planner, a checklist or a question sheet for your next appointment.
Our courses cover seventeen topics in six areas of life: eating well and moving more; pregnancy and new parents; feeding and raising children; women's and men's health; mind, sleep and self-care; and family, ageing and care.
- Self-paced lessons you can read in a few minutes on your phone.
- Interactive tools that save to your account and download as PDFs.
- A final check and a certificate with its own verification ID.
- One payment per course in New Zealand dollars, GST included, with no subscription.
How we write and check our courses
Every course is written by Dr Aqsa Mukhtiar, PhD in Nutrition, who also reviews the nutrition content. Our New Zealand editions are built on official New Zealand sources, such as:
- The Eating and Activity Guidelines for New Zealand Adults from the Ministry of Health – Manatū Hauora.
- The Healthy Eating Guidelines for New Zealand Babies and Toddlers (0–2 years old).
- Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora information on pregnancy, breastfeeding, formula feeding and starting solids.
- New Zealand Food Safety advice on food safety in pregnancy and at home, and the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code for labels and allergens.
- The Sit less, move more physical activity guidelines and New Zealand low-risk alcohol drinking advice.
Each course lists its sources so you can read the original advice yourself. Courses on topics outside our author's specialist area, such as menopausal hormone therapy (MHT, also called HRT), mood or sleep problems, are written as general education and do not replace advice from your GP or another qualified clinician.
Education, not treatment
Our courses help you understand healthy habits and prepare for conversations with health professionals. They do not diagnose, treat or cure any condition.
- Course pages show what to check first, for example if you are pregnant, take medicines or have a long-term condition.
- Courses on sensitive topics include a when to get help section that points to your GP, LMC midwife, Plunket or Well Child Tamariki Ora nurse, pharmacist, Healthline or 111.
- Our weight courses never promise a set amount of weight loss and are not for under-18s.
- Our calculators and checkers give general information, not a diagnosis.
- We do not use testimonials or promise results, and we only describe what a course covers. We aim to follow the Advertising Standards Authority codes and the Fair Trading Act 1986 in everything we publish.
What we care about
- Practical: every lesson ends with something you can do today.
- Honest: we say what the evidence and New Zealand guidance say, and we say when something is uncertain.
- Respectful: no shame, no fad diets and no foods labelled as good or bad. Examples reflect the food, families and communities of New Zealand.
- Private: your tracker and tool entries are yours. You can export or delete them at any time from My Progress.
