About MyNutriCare
We make short, practical courses on everyday nutrition and wellbeing, with the tools built in so you can use what you learn the same day.
What we do
Good food and health advice is easy to find but hard to put into practice. MyNutriCare turns trusted Canadian guidance into short lessons and pairs each one with a tool: a tracker, a meal planner, a checklist or a question sheet for your next appointment.
Our courses cover seventeen topics in six areas of life: eating well and moving more; pregnancy and new parents; feeding and raising children; women's and men's health; mind, sleep and self-care; and family, aging and caregiving.
- Self-paced lessons you can read in a few minutes on your phone.
- Interactive tools that save to your account and download as PDFs.
- A final check and a certificate with its own verification ID.
- One payment per course in Canadian dollars, with no subscription.
How we write and check our courses
Every Canadian course is written by Dr Aqsa Mukhtiar, PhD in Nutrition, who also reviews the nutrition content. Each course is built on official Canadian sources, such as:
- Canada's Food Guide and Canada's Dietary Guidelines from Health Canada.
- Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada advice on pregnancy, breastfeeding, infant formula and starting solids, with Canadian Paediatric Society information for parents.
- The Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines and Canada's Guidance on Alcohol and Health.
- The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada and Canadian Menopause Society guideline for menopause topics.
Each course lists its sources so you can read the original advice yourself. Courses on topics outside our author's specialist area, such as menopausal hormone therapy (MHT), mood or sleep problems, are written as general education from official information and do not replace advice from your family doctor, nurse practitioner or another qualified clinician.
Education, not treatment
Our courses help you understand healthy habits and prepare for conversations with health professionals. They do not diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition, including obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, depression or anxiety.
- Course pages show what to check first, for example if you are pregnant, take medicines or have a long-term condition.
- Courses on sensitive topics include a when to get help section that points to your family doctor or nurse practitioner, midwife, public health nurse, pharmacist, your provincial or territorial health line (811 in most provinces), 988 or 911.
- Our weight courses never promise a set amount of weight loss, never show before-and-after results and are not for anyone under 18.
- Our calculators and checkers give general information, not a diagnosis or a personal plan.
- We do not use testimonials to sell our courses.
Our courses are education, not individual nutrition care. For advice about your own diet, see a registered dietitian. In British Columbia, HealthLink BC 8-1-1 also connects you with registered dietitians by phone on weekdays.
What we care about
- Practical: every lesson ends with something you can do today.
- Honest: we say what the evidence and Canadian guidance say, and we say when something is uncertain.
- Respectful: no shame, no fad diets and no foods labelled as good or bad. Canada's Food Guide encourages enjoying food and food traditions, and so do we.
- Private: your tracker and tool entries are yours. You can export or delete them at any time from My Progress.
