Packing a lunchbox is a small job that adds up to a big part of your child's diet. This course shows you how to build balanced lunches using Ireland's Food Pyramid, pack the right amount for your child's age and cut back on sugar and salt without a battle.
You will learn why food comes home uneaten and how to fix it, discover ideas beyond the sandwich, choose better drinks and snacks, and read labels in seconds. We also cover keeping lunches cold and safe, choking safety for younger children, allergies at school, school healthy eating policies and how Hot School Meals fit in.
By the end you will have a 4-week lunchbox plan, a shopping list and a simple prep routine, built with the interactive lunchbox builder, planner and checklist. The course is for parents and carers of school-age children (about 4 to 16) and is written in plain, practical language.
Learn the five simple parts of a balanced packed lunch, how much to pack for your child's age, and where sugar and salt tend to hide.
